We need to hold personal information about you and your child to help us with their educational needs. To explain how we collect, process and use this data, we are required to produce a Privacy Notice for each stakeholder in school. You will be given a copy during the admission meeting as well as finding these below for you to download.
At Three Towers, this information may be held on our computer system and in paper records. It is important that our records are kept up to date so we need parents/carers to inform us as soon as possible of any changes of circumstances.
School staff have access to your child's records to enable them to do their jobs. On occasions information may be shared with other's involved in your child's care, if it is necessary. Anyone with access to your or your child's records is properly trained in confidentiality issues and is governed by a legal duty to keep this information secure, accurate and up to date under the GDPR UK regulations.
All information about you and your child is held securely and appropriate measures are in place to prevent accidental loss. We will not disclose information over the telephone unless we are talking to the parent/carer; we will not disclose information to family or friends unless we have prior written consent or there is a court order in place.
In some circumstances we may be required by law to release this information to statutory or other official bodies, for example the local authority, the Department for Education (DfE) or if a court order is presented. Below are the Privacy Notices from The Rowan Learning Trust (RLT), plus links to those for Wigan Council and The Department of Education.
Details of your and your child's rights regarding personal information are explained in the privacy notices, including your right to access the information we hold. If you wish to submit a subject access request or a freedom of information request, then please contact our Data Protection Lead, Mrs Seggie, at school.
